Director of Sales

This position manages and ensures the overall effectiveness of the sales department to achieve divisional and corporate objectives. Responsible for managing all distribution channels and deployment of sales for Mokon. Including developing the strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. Continuously developing the new products and markets to deliver sustainable and dramatic revenue financial performance by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers and/or supervisors:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activities of the Sales and Service Departments.
  • Develops yearly revenue budgets, manage all sales related expenses, and sets objectives to achieve revenue and PBT goals.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Manages direct reports including Sales and Service Managers, and the Technical and Key Accounts Sales Manager, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and goal setting.
  • Assist in managing major and critical developing client accounts.
  • Manage the Independent Representative Network including issuing agreements, setting commission rates, hiring, training, and setting of goal.
  • Reviews market analysis to determine customer design needs, price lists, gross margins, discount, and develops sales strategies to accommodate goals for company.
  • Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items for sales line.
  • Research, identify, and develop strategies for new product development and the redesign of existing products working with engineering, sales, and marketing personnel.
  • Oversee all aspects of commercial growth and customer relationships. Developing a deep understanding of the competitive threats to maximize the Mokon value proposition when compared to potential competitors.
  • Develop new markets and increase market share of existing markets.
  • Developing a deep understanding of customer business model, desired outcomes, pain points, and be dedicated to meeting their expectations and mapping desired outcomes.
  • Lead negotiations and contracting effort with customers to ensure closure of opportunities.
  • Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations and ensures that company rules and regulations are properly enforced.
  • Adhere to work instructions and SOP's in accordance with ISO 9001.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Engineering degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.

Experience

  • Minimum of five-years related industrial managerial experience.
  • HVAC/R: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Industrial engineering: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to Travel

  • 25% (Preferred)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
